The People I’ve Been is a collection of my illustrations, stories, and notes on the process of character design. There is no single aspect of storytelling more important than good character design. With good characters, everything else falls into place. Creating visually and emotionally compelling characters is paramount in attempting to tell a story, and stories are what keep our imaginations thriving. I’m coming at this venture from the viewpoint of an illustrator, writer, and a tabletop role-playing game enthusiast, because I think my experience with each has undeniably informed the other. Inside this book you’ll find my thoughts on how to create compelling characters, and a peek inside the creative process. And of course, possibly most importantly, lots and lots of art!

The book is 8x10" with 80 pages, featuring a satin matte softcover and thick satin 100 lb paper. Each book will come signed by me, with a small sketch.
